(This comment was originally posted to Facebook by my good friend Alan Richardson in response to my original post of this on Facebook on the 29th of May, 2009 ... the day after Chris died.)

Jesus, the Sovereign Lord who created the universe and sustains it by His own power, entered into this world. Further, He entered into the human race, becoming like us. He suffered more than any other human has ever suffered as He endured on the cross the unmitigated wrath of God for all our sins. He knew sorrow, he knew great grief.

To any who would say that God stands at an uncaring distance: Jesus wept.

"If You're Gonna Play in Texas"
My music is all over the place, but some of the are amusingly on target for the questions:

If someone says, “Is this okay” you say?
Easy Silence

What would best describe your personality? (lol)
She's My Summer Girl

What do you like in a guy/girl?
Famous Last Words

What is your life’s purpose?
The Best of Times

What is your motto!
Fishin' in the Dark

What do your friends think of you?
Fun, Fun, Fun

What do you think about very often?
I Know Somethin'

What is 2+2?
Can We All Come Together

What do you think of your best friend?
Little Suite (Bach)

What do you think of the person you like?
Fire

What is your life story?
Jaded

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Loves is a Battlefield

What do you think when you see the person you like?
Tuesday Afternoon

What do your parents think of you?
Walk on Down

What will you dance to at your wedding?
Little Honda

What will they play at your funeral?
Fantine's Death: Confrontation (From Les Miserables soundtrack)

What is your hobby/interest?
Understanding Women

What is your biggest secret?
Live to Tell

What do you think of your friends?
You are not Alone

What’s the worst thing that could happen?
The Long Way Around

How will you die?
Fight for Your Honor

What is the one thing you regret?
Beautiful Life

What makes you laugh?
Run to You

What makes you cry?
Still in the Room

Will you ever get married?
Let it Snow, Let it Snow

What scares you the most?
I Do Believe

Does anyone like you?
Big Shot

If you could go back in time, what would you change?
America

What hurts right now?
Rock of Ages

What do you say in the morning when you first wake up?
Confusion

What will you post this as?

They conveniently cloud the issue by using the medical definition of 'pregnancy', which is based on implantation. They then turn around and call it a 'contraceptive'. I'm not a Latin expert, but its pretty obvious that that term should mean against-conception (not implantation). The term however has been twisted to mean 'prevent pregnancy'.

This AMA statement supporting Plan B pretty much typifies the mixed language that is used to confuse the issue:
http://www.ama-assn.org/ama1/pub/upload/mm/15/res_hod443_a04.doc

The medical community in general seems to be not very concern with providing useful information to people who have moral/ethical concerns about preventing a concieved embreyo from implanting.

You can see this yourself, try getting a straight answer about whether normal 'birth control pills', Depo-Provera
, etc. would allow conception but prevent implantation. The best answer we got (eventually) was 'Maybe, sometimes. If you have problems with that you might want to try something else.' (Obviously not something the Doctor cared or though much about)

Thanks. I really want to finish it. I have the backup piece complete (if you did a default installation). It does *not* restore yet.

My packager files are basically ZIP files. You are welcome to Alpha test it if you want but I'm can't guarentee perfection.

The restore should be done in a few weeks based on my work schedule. I'm building up my team at work (we are doing a ton of work in MOSS/SharePoint 2007) but I'm trying to finish the first beta release.

You can also manually backup if you want. It's a pain to do over and over but for a onetime thing to try and fix your kids' problem.

You need to copy your My Documents\My SPORE Creations (or it'll be under Documents in Vista). The second part is under %APPDATA%\SPORE. Those have the universe and your custom creations.

Cheers,

Vince

Hi....glad to see this project underway. My sons have Spore and have been playing incessantly on two different PCs.

I do most of the PC housekeeping (troubleshooting, backups, upgrades) and would very much like a way to preserve/transfer their settings and worlds.

Also, and this may be related, there has been a couple problems my sons are having within Spore that are fully repeatable: one problem happens when trying to land on a particular planet (Spore freezes and quits) and the other happens when trying to edit a particular building (Spore freezes and quits). I would like to be able to back up files, then try to delete the offending objects, and then be able to restore the original files if it turns out my deletions make things worse.

IOW, I see a program such as yours as being useful not just for backups and transfers, but also for troubleshooting little problems.

Hope you get thing project going.

Thanks,
Mike McCarthy

Thanks. I'm still working on one final piece before a beta release. It's not great but seems to work just wonderfully (once I fix a nagging bug). I hope to have it "releasable" by week's end barring disasters at work.
